In the last couple of months there has been an increase in demand for shipping containers that have been adapted and converted into Biodiesel processing plants.
The converted containers are fitted with bunded floors and then also fitted with access points, which include high security personnel doors and aluminium louvered vents. Because of the size of some of the different Biodiesel plants, a small section of the container roof is removed then the plant is lowered into place with a twenty foot container placed on the roof. Once in place the ground floor unit has extra corner posts fitted so that it can be housed securely.
The demand for chemical storage containers or dangerous goods containers have also increased, with a new type of bund housed inside the container base structure, the original floor is removed and a steel or aluminium checker plate flooring fitted. These units also have louvered vents along with zone 1 heaters and lighting fitted. The tanks or bunds also have multiple drainage points empting the tanks. The added qualities of these are that they can be moved and relocated easily and are also secure.
The bunded fuel stores can also be fitted with fire rated boarding and insulation along with zone 1 heaters to keep any temperature sensitive chemicals and fuels at the correct levels of storage.
The converted containers can also be painted in a range of different RAL colours to make them visible to any persons using a site.
